Tetsuya Mishima, President and CEO

Mishima serves as President and CEO of the company. He is currently also a partner of Watervein Partners, a venture capital firm, which he co-founded in 2002. Prior to founding Watervein, he was involved in M&A advisory business at Bank of America Investment Banking. Prior to Bank of America, he served as a manager in pharmaceutical business at Asahi Glass. He received a B.S. and an M.S. in Polymer Science at Tokyo Institute of Technology.
 

Minoru Fujimori, M.D., Ph.D., Director and Founder

Dr. Fujimori is a co-founder and Director of the company. He is a Professor of Breast Surgery of Tokyo Medical University Ibaraki Medical Center. Prior to this, he was Surgeon-in-Chief, and Associate Professor of Breast and Endocrine Surgery at Shinshu University School of Medicine. Dr. Fujimori completed research fellowship training at University of Washington School of Medicine after having received his education and training in medicine at Shinshu University Hospital, Japanese Foundation of Cancer Institute, and some other institutes. He received a Ph.D. from Shinshu University School of Medicine.
 

Shun’ichiro Taniguchi, Ph.D., Director and Founder

Dr. Taniguchi is a co-founder of the company and serves as Director. He is a Professor of Molecular Oncology, Shinshu University Graduate School of Medicine. Prior to Shinshu University he was an Associate Professor of Medical Institute of Bioregulation, Kyushu University. He completed research fellowship training at the National Cancer Institute, NIH in Bethesda.  He received a B.S. in Physics and Ph.Ds. in both Biology and Medicine from Kyushu University.
 

Kinji Fuchikami, Director

Mr. Fuchikami serves as a director of the company.  He is also a venture partner of MVC Corporation, a venture capital firm. He comes with over 10 years of experience in drug discovery researches from gene discovery to preclinical research. Prior to join MVC, he worked for 12 years at Research Center Kyoto, in Bayer Yakuhin, Ltd. At Bayer, his primary focus was kinase inhibitors, respiratory diseases, inflammatory diseases and allergy. Mr. Fuchikami holds an M.Sc. in the field of Medical Sciences from Osaka University Medical School.
